I'm kind of in two minds with this. On one end I think you're spot on. On another though, I'm not sure if the polls are the best engagement for whether or not fans liked the chapters. If something big is going on in a different series then of course I'm voting for that series over jjk set up. It's always so great to see that pay off and I'm going to try to be as fair as possible with how I vote and not favor one series because it's my favorite.

I think its more that the competition in jump is really high and the other top dogs of the magazine like are putting out heat every week, especially since most of the other big series are much later in their series' life cycle. Also JJK has been pretty much no chill for the past year or two, so its only natural for things to calm down a bit, while we move into the next phase of the story.

I think it’s normal for a story to have peaks and valleys I don’t mind the slowing down of the action.

We are currently in a setup before shit goes down. The whol gojo sealing and shibuya worked so well cause it was being setup ever since ep 7 or 6 of the anime. Having good setup is nothing wrong but a lot of fans are just meatheads who want non stop action. I am liking the slowed pace as of now and im pretty sure the games will start in the next 15 chapters

Well this is a common formula in JJK. You get slow set up arc and events full of explanations followed by a phenomenal arc. I believe Gege currently preparing for another 1-year-long arc, which is the Culling game.

there is always an arc that sets up an incredible arc that is action-based.Shibuya had a short arc before it started. The culling game arc has to be action-based and similar to Shibuya arc since there are many people who are having their own journey throughout the arc and occasionally meeting up and leading to the finale of the arc.

this arc is not supposed to be action based since we are discovering new characters and it is like a detective arc and not a shonen arc

I honestly think a general problem is instant gratification. A lot of people don’t understand how to handle story DEVELOPMENT, leading to the big pay offs. Let’s just enjoy what’s going on now

I think this video is off the mark a bit.
The set up for this next crazy arc has been great so far but I think that is why its lower in the popularity polls at the moment.
Other series have having pretty active moments such as one piece with all the big fights, black clover with the silva family and megicula, tokyo revengers still being 🔥

I'm obviously not gonna lie and say that I prefer the setup chapters but they're definitely great chapters. It's like Boruto, we've had over half a year of setup chapters and even though they were obviously not on the level of the battle against Isshiki but they were still great.

To me at least, Jujitsu Kaisen has a bit of a depth issue. Where the hype moments are hype, the world, characters, and story seem a bit shallow (maybe because its easy to see alot of it's inspirations in it's writing, making it feel a bit unoriginal in it's world building). when the pacing slows down the story doesn't have alot of interesting passive content to bridge the hype moments.

I feel like Shonen Jump is putting overly high expectations on Gege-San in showing that the company is all for Diversity due yo the Todu voice actor skew up on social media so they're like "Yo Gege-San we are expecting a lot of gender blender good things from you with JJK going forward!!"
