I watched one of the first anime’s as well as fusion when it was on Netflix, and I miss it a lot actually. I might rewatch them at some point

Digimon was actually called Digimon before Pocket Monsters was changed to Pokemon for the west. Pokemon copied the name. Pokemon created the hate for Digimon because of this, despite Digimon being out in America the year before with the V-Pets. There was also a Japan-only manga called C'mon Digimon before Pocket Monsters became Pokemon.

I loved the original show and assumed it was a popular game
...but wondered why i couldnt find the game. When they had the new characters and the original cast was older i found it depressing.

Frontier was my favorite, loved Beetlemon. Could never get my card to scan though. Very sad kid days.

Always preferred Digimon since it seemed more 'real' than Pokemon if that makes sense, maybe cuz it was set on Earth a lot.

since I hate digirap, well, since we weren't from the USA, we were lucky that the version with Japanese music arrived in the rest of the world... it was still called tai and matt instead of taichi and yamato but we had butterfly translated into our language instead of digirap and we had the songs of Japanese evolutions from adventure to what was savers (data squad) I think that the great failure that was for saban brand digimon fusion in the rest of the world was forcing the production houses in charge of the translation, to be based exclusively on the gringo version, forcing not to have songs like We Are Xros heart, replacing it with generic music and the techno intro of digimon fusion... well, digimon adventure tri and 2020 seem to correct that error, although they did not want to risk it and it seems that applimonsters would never reach the west .... the big difference with other franchises like pokemon, or yugioh, is that digimon to the rest of the world we were able to prove what was a version Almost faithful to the Japanese one, it is something that they look for the intro of other countries and they will realize it ... causing us to greatly despise the way they edited the series in the USA, something similar happens today with some seasons of pokemon which many achieved preview the japanese version... hey ash's greninja battle sounds much better with the japanese intro of XY&Z
